The Abyssinian is a short-hair breed. The American Curl may have long or short hair and is known for his curled ears.
Cat Personality: Exceptionally Affectionate Cat Breeds
Some pet parents search for cat breeds which are extremely loving. If you are searching for an affectionate cat, you may want to search for a Balinese, Birman or Persian cat breed. Balinese are extremely affectionate breeds who look similar to a Siamese Cat; they have long hair and are also vocal and somewhat active. The Birman cat breed also has an affectionate personality and known to be one of the sweetest cat breeds. Persian cats are a long hair breed of cat as well; and are often known to be lap cats.
