The result of the mix between the Coton De Tulear and the Shih Tzu purebreds, the Coton Tzu is a small hybrid dog typically weighing 9-16 pounds and standing 8-12 inches. They are found in many colors including white, black, cream, brindle, dark and light brown, as well as mixtures of these. Their coats are medium to long, silky and fluffy.

Behaviour and Personality
Coton Tzus are known for being very loving and affectionate dogs, being very family oriented and love attention from their owners. Though they are highly social, they show some suspicion around strangers. Training can be a bit troublesome thanks to willful behavior, but consistent and gentle training weeds this out. A 15-30 minute walk every day is enough to satisfy the energy levels of the Coton Tzu.
