Crestoxie Build Information

The Crestoxie dog comes from the cross breeding of the Chinese Crested with the Dachshund purebred. They are small to medium size, with maximum height of 18 inches. They are either have hairless bodies with hairs on head, ears, and legs similar to the Chinese Crested or fully-bodied fine and wiry hair that's black, black and tan, brown, and red in color.

Behaviour and Personality

Crestoxies are very alert, social, loyal, courageous, and cheerful dogs. They can make good family pets, provided they don't inherit the willful traits of the Dachshund parent. Training Crestoxies is difficult, requiring firm and consistent sessions. They do require a fair bit of exercise and daily play sessions.
