Behaviour and Personality
German Shorthaired Labs are social and cheerful dogs that enjoy spending time with their people. They can be great family pets, being both playful and gentle with children and even-tempered. This dog doesn't like being alone and should not be left alone for long periods of time or it may develop undesirable behaviors. Training must be innovative to keep these intelligent dogs from getting bored. Plenty of physical and mental stimulation is a must to keep up with the high energy levels of the German Shorthaired Lab.

When adding a dog or cat to your family you want to make sure your pet is happy, healthy and protected. During its lifetime your pet is exposed to many illnesses and diseases and some breeds are affected by a congenital disease which is a condition existing at birth. At these moments when your pet is ill or maybe needs surgery, you want to be protected for the unexpected and high veterinarian costs.
