Miniature Husky

Miniature Husky

Most people love the look of a Siberian husky. With bright blue eyes and a thick fur coat, the Husky is a desirable dog. The Siberian husky's size, however, prevents it from being picked by many pet owners. Happily, for those who love the husky but not its size, the miniature husky is a great option. When Linda S. Spurlin noticed that her Siberian husky was pregnant thanks to another smaller dog, the possibility of the miniature husky was born. When the pups arrived, Spurlin began breeding the dogs in secret, breeding Siberian and Alaska Huskies with Schipperke and American Eskimo dogs.

Miniature Huskies are built just like regular sized Huskies, except for smaller. A toy mini can grow to 13 inches, and a mini husky can grow from 13-17 inches. These dogs need exercise daily, and walking them routinely is important for their health.

Personality

Huskies, both Siberian and Miniature, are intelligent and loyal dogs. They are quick to learn and easy to train, active, and friendly. Like the Siberian Husky, a Miniature Husky will make a great member of the family, but doesn't enjoy being treated aggressively, and may retaliate if so. If you want a new pet at home but don't know which kind is right for you, you may want to consider purchasing a Miniature Siberian Husky. Cute and cuddly while also intelligent and loyal, a Miniature Siberian Husky is the perfect pet. Additionally, the miniature's small size makes it great for all types of living, even within an apartment, as long as it's exercised daily.
