The Pekehund is the cross between the Pekingese and the Dachshund. It is a small cross breed that weighs between 13 and 25 pounds when fully grown, and it has a soft coat that is easy to groom and will shed a relatively small amount. The Pekehund is a loving, intelligent and protective dog that is perfect for owners of all ages, from families with children to senior citizens, but it has a tendency to bark at strangers.
