Vizmaraner Build Information

The Vizmaraner is a hybrid hunting dog resulting from the cross of the Magyar Vizsla and Weimaraner. They have short, sleek coats that will be typically be either the gold-rust of the Vizsla or gray of the Weimaraner. These large, energetic dogs are not only vlued for their hunting skills, but also for their loyal companionship and suitability as family pets.

Behaviour and Personality

Devoted and loyal, the Vizmaraner will play well with children and can be trained up for many different tasks. They do have a strong prey drive and may chase small animals. Sometimes called the "Velcro dog", Vizmaraners can be clingy and needy with their owners. These dogs require a committed owner who will properly train them and provide lots of outdoor exercise opportunities. Although adaptable to small living quarters, daily activities and exercise are a must, though the dog should never be left outside for long in cold weather.
