The loss of sensation in the rear legs, or rear limb paralysis is the absence of feeling in the rear legs of a pet. This pet health condition in dogs and cats that can occur for a variety of reasons. However, the most common reason that pets may experience loss of sensation in the rear legs is a trauma due to accidents or falls. Other things that can cause rear limb paralysis in dogs and cats include degenerative diseases, neurological problems, tick paralysis and fibrocartilaginous embolism.
