Bloodshot Eyes

Red eyes resulting from the vessels in the white of the eye. The most common cause is inflammation of one or both eyes. The whites of your pet\\\'s eyes will appear red or pink. Pets may squint their eyes or avoid bright light. Their eyelids may appear swollen, and there may be some discharge from the eyes.


Causes for bloodshot eyes in pets vary. One if the most common conditions that causes bloodshot eyes is Glaucoma, a set of eye conditions.


Your veterinarian will perform an ophthalmic exam, which is an examination of your pet\\\'s eyes. These examinations are usually non-invasive and painless for your pet.
