Recurrent Skin Infections

Chronic infection of an open Lesion in a dog or cat. Various skin infections are quite common in pets; however, when they become recurrent, it can be a cause for concern. Recurrent skin infections in dogs and cats can be indicative of poor hygiene, lack of proper treatment or a problem with the immune system. Some of the most common infections that can develop into recurrent skin infections include demodectic mange, bacterial infections, atopic dermatitis and Malassezia infections. See also Lesion.
