Staring

The dog or cat looks fixedly, often with a wide-eyed gaze at an object like walls or into space. Staring in pets can mean many different things. In some cases, when dogs and cats stare, they are practicing aggressive behavior. Pets often stare at one another prior to fighting. However, staring can indicate various medical issues as well when it occurs alongside confused behavior. In these cases, staring may be a symptom of such issues as senility, complete or partial blindness, cranial injuries or brain tumors.
