The cat or dog has difficulty during walk, or stiff walking, is a very common symptom in pets, especially in seniors. Oftentimes, the most common reason for stiff walking in dogs and cats is arthritis, which is the natural wear and tear of joints. However, other common causes include injuries, muscle strains and hip dysplasia. Various auto-immune diseases, serotonin deficiencies, eclampsia, lyme disease and hyperthyroidism can all cause stiff walking in dogs and cats as well.
