The Balinese was the result of breeding longhaired Siamese cats. It has long, silky hair and weighs up to nine pounds. It's similar to its cousin, the Siamese: Balinese have blue eyes and pointy ears.

The Balinese may look graceful and elegant but it's a bit of a clown. It's a very busy and active cat breed that has high energy levels. It requires lots of attention and is demonstrably affectionate. It's easily trainable and will fetch things if trained to do so. It's also a very vocal cat. This cat gets along well with children, other cats and even dogs.
